In this video we teach you how to factory reset Ecobee Smart thermostat to factory default settings. If you are moving out of your home, giving away your smart thermostat or troubleshooting the thermostat you may need to reset your Ecobee Smart Thermostat to factory settings.

To Reset Ecobee Thermostat:
1. Wake up the Thermostat and click on the menu button in the lower left hand corner of the ecobee touch screen.
2. Scroll down on the next menu until you get to "Settings (Preferences and Defaults)" and then click on "Settings ( Preferences and Defaults)
3. In the next menu scroll down until you see the Reset option then click on "Reset"
4. To factory reset your Ecobee Smart Thermostat click on the third Reset Option "Reset All" this will restore your Ecobee Smart Thermostat to factory default settings.
5. Confirm you want to Reset your Ecobee Thermostat by pressing "Yes"
6. Congratulations your Ecobee Smart Thermostat will now reset to factory default settings. It takes about a minute for the reset process to complete. When the reset process has completed you can then set up your smart thermostat on the Ecobee App.
