Your standard “dumb” home appliances can be made smarter by smart plugs. And they can also be synced to the Amazon Echo if you want to add voice control to manage your appliances through a smart plug. Find out how to Connect Gosund to Alexa device with this step-by-step guide.
So Here Are the Steps of How to Connect Gosund to Alexa
- Connect your phone or tablet to your home WiFi network.
- Setup the Gosund Smart Mini Plug in the Gosund App
- Next, download and install the Alexa app for iOS or Android, depending on the smart tablet / phone you’re using.
- Run the Alexa app. (Andriod) (IOS)
- Create an Amazon account if you don’t have one already.
- Next, plug the Gosund smart mini plug into a working AC outlet.
- Tap the Add Device button in the app.
- Then, make sure your mini plug is quickly flashing blue.
- Find the plug in the app once it finishes scanning for new devices.
- Next, connect the mini plug to WiFi.
- Make sure you can turn the plug on and off from your phone/tablet.
- Finally, test that you can control the plug with your voice. Use the name assigned to the plug. In this example, Alexa assigned our smart plug the name gosund Smart Plug.
Note in the last: The Action button should be dark on the mini-plug (no flashing). This means the plug is turned on if it glows a steady red. Click and release the Action button to switch the mini plug to the OFF position in this situation. This means your plug is not fully wired to your home WiFi network if it flashes red or blue. If you see this, as mentioned in step one above, run through the plug’s setup process.
