The digital home network SmartThings is making some significant improvements in 2020. If you’ve recently added SmartThings gadgets to the Google Assistant or Home App, the feature has to be reconnected to continue to use it. We are going to teach you how to do exactly that.
The initial SmartThings interface with Google Home will cease to operate as of September 8, 2020. You will no longer be able to monitor devices, such as Nest smart speakers and smart screens, from a Google Assistant-enabled smartphone. This affects everyone who added SmartThings before the 15th of April 2020 to Google Home.
Google’s latest step requires quicker reaction times and more cameras, and many sites endorse it. If you want to continue monitoring SmartThings devices that Google Nest and Home devices, you need to reconnect to them.

Steps of How to Reconnect SmartThings To Your Google Home App
Open the Google Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device and then tap the “+” icon in the top-left corner.
Select “Set Up Device.”
Because we already have SmartThings integrated, tap “Have Something Already Set Up?”
“SmartThings” will be one of the services listed at the top. Tap the option.
On your iPhone or iPad, tap “Check For New Devices.” On your Android device, tap “Reconnect Account.”
You’ll be brought to the sign-in page where you can use your Samsung account or SmartThings account.
After signing in, you’ll be asked to “Authorize” Google to access your SmartThings locations, devices, and scenes.
